Perry Sasnett
President
Perry Sasnett founded Zero Point, Incorporated in November of 2006 and serves as the president.
Prior to founding Zero Point he proudly served in the US Navy for 20 years, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) and Master EOD Technician with over 18 years of EOD experience, 10 years of which was dedicated to the Joint DoD Special Operations community, recognized as a world authority on all aspects of counter-terrorism relating to IED‟s, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), and CBRN operations.
Mr. Sasnett was instrumental in developing a Domestic National Level Emergency Response capability to counter the growing threat of WMD terrorism in America. As the Research & Development Program Manager for the EOD department at Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG), Mr. Sasnett was responsible for the overall management of all existing and future developmental efforts ranging from Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), specialized disruptor rounds and shaped charges, digital X-Ray capability, to all aspects CBRN detection, sampling, and neutralization.
Throughout Mr. Sasnett’s military career he has conducted several deployments, lead units in combat, on security missions, and managed extremely difficult technical and operational efforts. From those varying experiences Mr. Sasnett has structured Zero Point, the company’s leadership, its high quality staff, and its charter to continually provide the absolute best product and services available worldwide.
Robert Brush
Executive Vice President
Bob Brush joined the Zero Point team in October of 2008 and serves as the Executive Vice President (EVP). Prior to joining Zero Point he distinguished himself while serving 22 years in the US Navy before retiring as a Master Chief (MCPO) and Master EOD Technician. More than 20 years of service were dedicated to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) community.
Throughout his entire service he developed and participated in intense training evolutions and lead operations to counter the threat of terrorism against the United States of America and her allies. He has extensive experience and expertise in Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Vulnerabilities Assessment, and Emergency Management, both domestically and internationally, and dedicated over half of his career to the Joint DoD Special Operations Community. He has deployed and lead units in combat and security missions as part of Joint Task Forces fighting the Global War on Terrorism to both the Iraq and Afghanistan Theaters of Operation, other deployments include Somalia in 1993 and the Persian Gulf in 1988.
He was instrumental in developing a Domestic National Level Emergency Response capability to counter the growing threat of WMD terrorism in America. He participated and lead multiple Federal Agency Field Training Exercises, Joint Readiness Exercises, and Emergency Deployment Exercises in support of Presidential and DoD directives.
Mr. Brush’s breadth of experience, foresight, and dedication as the EVP ensures the company’s continued high fidelity benchmark for our customers.
Michael Farmer
Chief Strategy Officer
Mr. Farmer brings over 30 years of dedicated and distinguished service from the United States government as a military service member and civilian. Was a Principle Technical Staff Member with Commonwealth Research Institute and subsequently assigned under the provisions of the Intergovernmental Personnel Act as a representative of the US Government to USSOCOM.
During this period he served as a Division Manager and Level II Acquisition Specialist and was responsible for the senior leadership and management of Program Executive Officer-Special Programs (PEO-SP), Program Manager Counter Proliferation (PMCP) Division at Ft. Bragg, NC. Of note, he led an ECM team that was presented the David Packard Acquisition Award.
Upon retirement from the Navy in 2004, Mr. Farmer began his civilian career with AMTI serving as a Technical Manager. He provided on-site acquisition service and support to USSOCOM Program Manager Counter Proliferation (PMCP) for development, testing, procurement, and fielding of classified SOF unique capabilities.
Preceding his tenure with AMTI, Mr. Farmer completed a distinguished 24 year career in the US Navy EOD community serving in both senior enlisted and commissioned officer capacities in multi-disciplinary areas of Counter-Terrorism to include; IED, CBRN, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Mine Countermeasures, and Electronic Countermeasures (ECM). His tours included all operational EOD leadership assignments up to the rank of Lieutenant in which he participated in planning, leading, and executing small and large scale EOD and contingency operations worldwide in both urban and maritime environments in support of national interest.
In addition to his extensive operational experience, Mr. Farmer served over 3 years as an Assistant Product Manager for the PEO-SP at USSOCOM where he was responsible for the cost, schedule, and performance of 37 acquisition efforts.
Scott Traurig
Chief Technology Officer
Scott Traurig brings to Zero Point over 26 years of Electronic Warfare engineering and Program Management experience. Mr. Traurig’s expertise spans the entire gamut of Electronic Warfare, from Communications and Signal Intelligence, ground and air self-protection electronic countermeasures (ECM), electronic attack, and radar tactical deception to infrared expendables and laser countermeasures.
Most recently Mr. Traurig was the Chief Engineer at ITT-IST Integrated Electronic Warfare Systems where for eight years he lead the development, fielding and support of a variety of advanced, mission critical EOD and Force Protection electronic countermeasures systems for USSOCOM. Under his leadership Mr. Traurig’s team won the ITT Ring of Quality award and Mr. Traurig himself was presented with the prestigious ITT Engineered for Life award.
Prior to IST Mr. Traurig completed an eighteen year career with BAE Systems. Starting with the highly regarded Sanders Associates, Mr. Traurig worked with many of the pioneers of modern electronic combat. As the company grew and evolved to Lockheed Sanders and then BAE Systems, he was responsible for significant accomplishments on many high profile and important systems such as Rivet Joint, Compass Call and the U2, as well as numerous classified efforts.
